Cost Estimator

About the role

ECR Engineering is seeking a Cost Estimator to join its collaborative, multidisciplinary team serving the southeastern United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America. The role supports engineers, designers, and project managers by preparing accurate cost estimates and analyses for construction projects, with opportunities for professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare take‑offs and detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
• Conduct cost analyses based on industry experience and project data.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify quantities and scope.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project managers to validate information and support estimate preparation.
• Organize cost information, budgets, and project‑related documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with at least three years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience as outlined in the posting.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequences, methods, and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Familiarity with English construction and engineering terminology.
• Experience with construction projects related to potable water and wastewater treatment plants is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for cost analysis.
• Competence with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, SharePoint, and Outlook.
