Construction Project Manager – Data Centre

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major data‑centre development in Portugal. The successful candidate will be the primary on‑site point of contact, coordinating contractors, trades and stakeholders to ensure safe, on‑time and high‑quality construction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day construction delivery across the project.
• Coordinate main contractors, subcontractors and specialist trades.
• Monitor programme, progress, quality and construction performance.
• Lead site coordination meetings and drive actions to completion.
• Work closely with the client, consultants, engineers and the wider project team.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Identify construction risks and proactively develop solutions.
• Manage interfaces between different construction disciplines.
• Monitor health & safety and maintain site standards.
• Support project planning, reporting and progress tracking.
• Resolve construction issues and drive projects through to completion.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular project updates.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or Construction Manager.
• Strong experience delivering large‑scale construction projects.
• Previous data‑centre, mission‑critical, industrial or major infrastructure experience (highly desirable).
• Deep understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery.
• Experience managing contractors and subcontractors.
• Strong programme and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proactive problem‑identification and solution‑driving approach.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and programme delivery.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Portugal.
