Construction Manager

About the role

Jedson Engineering, an EPCM consultancy headquartered in Cincinnati, is looking for a senior Construction Manager to oversee large‑scale capital projects for regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, biotech, and other heavy‑industrial markets. The role requires independent judgment to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Organize, lead and direct all construction‑related activities for EPCM projects, ensuring safety, design compliance, budget adherence, and quality standards.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise activities of all company personnel and subcontractors on assigned sites.
• Authorize and approve personnel transactions, purchase requisitions, change orders, and related documentation.
• Review and approve monthly contractor billing to confirm alignment with work completed.
• Serve as the primary client contact for all field activities and maintain official project logs and documentation.
• Interpret and implement safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
• Estimate task costs, schedule labor and materials, and manage subcontractor performance.
• Close out projects, processing final invoices and contractual commitments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 20+ years of large‑scale capital construction experience, including 10+ years as a senior construction manager on pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated‑industry projects exceeding $500 M total installed cost.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary, multi‑contractor field organizations through full project lifecycles.
• Demonstrated HSE leadership; OSHA 30 certification minimum, CSP or equivalent preferred.
• PMP certification and AGC/CMAA membership preferred.
• Fluent in English; Spanish strongly preferred for Puerto Rico site leadership.
