Construction Engineer VI – Mechanical & Piping

About the role

Fluor is seeking a Construction Engineer VI specialized in mechanical and piping disciplines to support large‑scale construction projects. The role provides technical guidance to craft workers, foremen, and project supervision while ensuring compliance with quality standards and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical support to construction teams and supervise craft activities.
• Interpret design documents and resolve construction‑related issues on drawings.
• Coordinate communication between the construction team and design engineers to ensure timely flow of information.
• Implement and monitor the project quality program when managed by the construction engineering department.
• Provide engineering support for single‑discipline large projects and multi‑discipline small‑to‑medium projects.
• Report status of engineering functions to project management and assist with other assigned duties.

Required profile

• Accredited four‑year engineering degree (or global equivalent).
• Minimum ten years of relevant construction engineering experience.
• Relevant professional certification or registration where required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with diverse audiences.
• Ability to understand and apply local, state/province, and federal statutes and guidelines.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of working efficiently under time constraints.
