Civil Estimator

About the role

The Estimator will combine drafting and blueprint‑reading expertise to produce accurate takeoffs and cost estimates for civil, architectural and structural components. Working under the Chief Estimator and Pre‑construction Director, you will support the bid process for commercial, institutional and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed estimates and proposals, ensuring all bids meet defined milestones and deadlines.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings and requirements to fully understand scope of work.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using On‑Screen Takeoff, Excel and Sage Estimating.
• Request and evaluate material and labor pricing from vendors, suppliers and subcontractors, maintaining professional relationships.
• Compare received quotes against project documents, suggest cost‑saving alternatives and identify gaps or discrepancies.

Required profile

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Engineering or related field (associate degree with relevant experience considered).
• Minimum three years of experience in construction estimating and quantity takeoffs for commercial, institutional, industrial, hospitality, healthcare or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, labor productivity and delivery methods (Design‑Bid‑Build, Design‑Build, GMP, Lump Sum).
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
