About the role
The Civil Engineer will serve as a Project Engineer for construction projects administered by the Area Office, supporting engineering activities in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. This position plays a central part in ensuring that design and construction processes meet the required standards and timelines.
Key responsibilities
- Lead assigned engineering activities for construction projects managed by the Area Office.
- Perform comprehensive reviews of design packages at every stage of development.
- Coordinate pre‑award design reviews on behalf of the Construction Division.
- Organize and facilitate project and inter‑agency coordination meetings for construction initiatives in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
- Maintain communication between stakeholders to align project objectives and technical requirements.
Required profile
- Professional background in civil or construction engineering.
