Ceramic Teacher

About the role

Disco Wheel is looking for a passionate Ceramic Teacher to lead immersive pottery workshops. You will combine technical instruction with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, ensuring every participant leaves inspired and satisfied.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality ceramic classes to students of diverse backgrounds.
• Create a dynamic, inclusive learning environment that fosters community.
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Studio Coordinator to align workshop operations with the studio’s vision.
• Manage stock of materials, organise glazing, firing, and finish of pieces.
• Open and close the studio, handle cash procedures, and maintain clean, organized workspaces.
• Prepare workshop areas, set up clay stations, and serve refreshments during sessions.
• Assist with shipping, delivery, and boutique shop activities as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of ceramic techniques and pottery wheel operation.
• Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Detail‑oriented, organised, and adaptable to a fast‑changing environment.
