Buyer – Procurement of Raw Materials & Packaging

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Buyer to manage the procurement of raw materials, finished products, subsidiary raw materials and packaging for the Rovensa Group companies. Based in Lisbon, you will ensure that all purchases comply with regulatory requirements and support the company’s leading position in the crop‑protection market. You will work closely with the Quality Control, Logistics and Finance departments to guarantee seamless supply chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute purchases of raw materials, finished products, subsidiary raw materials and packaging according to product needs.
• Handle acquisitions of finished products and active materials from outside the EU, managing documentation, customs and banking procedures.
• Maintain up‑to‑date specifications for packaging and subsidiary raw materials.
• Monitor delivery deadlines, arrange transport and insurance, and ensure customs clearance.
• Request safety data sheets, verify labeling requirements and ensure compliance with REACH registration.
• Provide technical specifications to suppliers, coordinate pre‑shipment samples and liaise with the Quality Control Department.
• Act as liaison between suppliers and internal departments for compliance documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional experience in procurement or a related field.
• Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of Spanish and French is a plus.
• Familiarity with EU import regulations, customs procedures and REACH compliance.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to coordinate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to meet product specifications.
