Business Developer

About the role

Broadway Malyan is seeking a Business Developer to join its Lisbon studio. This early‑career position combines market research, relationship building and bid coordination to help the practice grow in Portugal and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify potential clients, sectors and new business opportunities.
• Track emerging market trends and maintain an active view of the studio’s business development pipeline.
• Coordinate opportunities from initial identification through to bid submission, working with design and bid teams.
• Support the preparation of proposals, presentations and tender responses, ensuring the right experience and credentials are highlighted.
• Contribute to client engagement, networking events and marketing activities to raise the studio’s profile in Portugal.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in business development or a related field.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Confidence engaging with colleagues, clients and external partners.
• Proactive attitude with a genuine interest in identifying and developing opportunities.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign (advantageous).
