Backend Developer

About the role

Innovatio is looking for a Backend Developer to join its architecture team. You will design, build and maintain backend solutions for clients in government, banking and healthcare, ensuring high quality and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects to analyse requirements and plan implementations.
• Develop, test and deploy backend services across multiple projects.
• Own a module or initiative, guiding other developers and ensuring code quality.
• Design and optimise REST APIs, database schemas and data‑access layers.
• Apply AI tools in the development workflow while validating outputs.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of hands‑on experience building production backend systems.
• Proven ability to lead technically and make architectural decisions.
• Strong communication, presentation and teamwork skills.
• Analytical mindset and comfort working in a fast‑paced environment.

• JavaScript (ES6+) / TypeScript (Node.js)
• Java with Spring Framework / Spring Boot
• OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect implementation
• SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) – modeling, complex queries, performance tuning
• NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Firestore, Redis)
• REST API design
• Git with pull‑request based workflows
