Assistant Stewarding Manager

About the role

The Assistant Stewarding Manager supports the Stewarding Manager in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and operational efficiency across the resort’s kitchens, restaurants and service areas. This leadership role is essential to seamless back‑of‑house operations, enabling culinary and service teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Puerto Rico.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily operation of the stewarding department, maintaining Four Seasons cleanliness and safety standards.
• Lead, train and motivate the stewarding team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, sanitation and HACCP regulations.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling and task assignments to meet operational needs.
• Oversee proper use, storage and maintenance of kitchen equipment, china, glassware and silverware.
• Assist with inventory control, cost management and waste‑reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with Culinary and Food & Beverage leadership to support service flow and special events.
• Step in for the Stewarding Manager as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in stewarding or back‑of‑house operations within a luxury hotel or high‑volume hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop and inspire teams.
• Solid knowledge of sanitation standards, health and safety regulations and operational best practices.
• Strong organizational skills.
