Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Four Seasons Lisbon is seeking a passionate leader to support the Housekeeping Manager in delivering the brand’s renowned standards of cleanliness and guest experience. This role combines hands‑on supervision with operational planning in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily supervision of Housekeeping and Laundry teams, ensuring guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces meet Four Seasons standards.
• Support scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, training, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms, corridors and public areas to uphold quality and brand consistency.
• Oversee daily assignments, monitor productivity and ensure guest expectations are consistently met.
• Lead daily briefing meetings to communicate arrivals, owner requirements, special requests and operational challenges.
• Address guest inquiries, requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate closely with Front Office, Engineering, Valet and off‑site Laundry for seamless operations.
• Maintain strong relationships with outsourced cleaning partners, ensuring service levels and cleanliness standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping operations, preferably in a luxury setting.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality.

Required skills

• Knowledge of housekeeping standards and procedures.
• Ability to conduct quality inspections and enforce brand guidelines.
• Experience coordinating with multiple hotel departments and external service providers.
