Asistente Contable

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to support the Controller in executing the company’s accounting, financial and tax processes. The role ensures accurate bookkeeping, regulatory compliance and timely preparation of financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with general ledger accounting and the full accounting cycle for the company and its related entities.
• Prepare and record journal entries, adjustments, and reclassifications.
• Prepare and analyze bank and balance‑sheet account reconciliations.
• Participate in intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Support the preparation and review of financial reports and account analysis.
• Assist with Puerto Rico tax compliance, including IVU, withholdings and other obligations.
• Help with monthly and annual closing processes.
• Organize documentation required for external audits and maintain up‑to‑date accounting records.
• Contribute to special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience in general accounting, reconciliations, or closing activities.
• Strong analytical ability to identify differences, investigate entries and support resolution.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical closing deadlines.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures.
• Experience with SAP (QuickBooks is a plus).
• Familiarity with intercompany processes and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
