Aircraft Mechanic

About the role

The Aircraft Mechanic will perform maintenance, inspection, repair and modification of assigned government aircraft in compliance with 14 CFR, DoD regulations and technical manuals. The role supports both fixed‑wing and rotary‑wing platforms and may include in‑flight checks and travel to temporary duty sites.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled and turnaround inspections on all assigned aircraft.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, fault isolation and corrosion control on airframe, hydraulic, fuel, electrical and engine systems.
• Execute repairs, modifications and overhauls in accordance with FAA and Department of Defense directives.
• Participate in test flights when ground‑based troubleshooting is insufficient.
• Travel as required to support mission‑critical operations, both within the United States and abroad.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a CBP background investigation clearance.
• Valid state driver’s license and willingness to undergo random drug testing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, work in confined spaces and wear required protective equipment.
