Accounting Clerk – Accounts Payable

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join the Accounts Payable team of The Condado Collection, a luxury hospitality group in San Juan. The role supports timely vendor payments and ensures accurate recording of all payable transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage outgoing payments by verifying vendor invoices, obtaining approvals, and processing payments on time.
• Receive, review, code, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to confirm accuracy.
• Schedule and execute payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer according to payment terms.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate pricing, quantity, or billing discrepancies.
• Identify and resolve invoice errors to prevent over‑payments or duplicate payments.
• Maintain organized, up‑to‑date records of all accounts payable transactions.
• Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and resolve payment‑related issues.
• Collaborate with internal departments to obtain approvals and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month‑end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and applicable regulations.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Professional communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
