Academic Coach – $100k/year

About the role

Alpha School is seeking an Academic Coach to work on‑site in Dorado, Puerto Rico. You will support K‑8 students using the school’s 2‑Hour Learning framework, guiding them through adaptive learning platforms and life‑skill workshops.

Key responsibilities

• Review Coachbot dashboards and adaptive‑learning analytics to identify individual learning obstacles.
• Provide one‑on‑one motivation sessions, helping students overcome specific academic challenges.
• Design and lead hour‑long experiential workshops on public speaking, concentration, teamwork, and constructive feedback.
• Administer Test2Pass mastery evaluations and ensure students meet progression standards.
• Maintain a supportive, accountable environment that motivates students to exceed their goals.

Required profile

• Passion for high standards and belief in every child’s potential.
• Comfort with data‑driven coaching and frequent use of analytics dashboards.
• Fluency in Spanish is helpful but not mandatory.
• Formal teaching certification is not required.
