Vulnerability Manager – Cybersecurity (Fintech)

About the role

The Vulnerability Manager will join Devoteam Cyber Trust’s security team in Lisbon, supporting the full vulnerability lifecycle for fintech clients. The role focuses on operating, automating and improving Nessus scanning processes while ensuring accurate vulnerability handling.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and maintain Nessus vulnerability scans, prepare network files, and troubleshoot scan failures, including network diagnostics and OS issues.
• Develop, migrate and maintain automation scripts in Python, Bash and SQL to streamline scanning, data extraction and quarterly preparation tasks.
• Process scan results, reduce false positives, and automate batch closure of resolved findings using Burp or custom scripts.
• Perform basic security validations and risk assessments to confirm vulnerability remediation and define parking timeframes.
• Plan scan schedules, map networks, configure Nessus on dedicated laptops and validate new CMDB assets against scan configurations.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of penetration testing concepts and basic security analysis.
• Proficiency in Python programming (including migration from Python 2 to 3) and Bash scripting.
• Strong knowledge of networking, Unix commands and SQL for asset correlation.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese.
