Treasury Executive

About the role

The Treasury Executive will be responsible for overseeing cash flow, banking operations and treasury controls for MGM Muthu Hotels in the Algarve region of Portugal. The role ensures sufficient liquidity, supports financial stability and provides insight to finance leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash balances across all accounts and entities, preparing cash position reports and guaranteeing liquidity for operational and statutory needs.
• Execute vendor payments, payroll transfers and inter‑company fund movements, maintain bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
• Support short‑term and medium‑term cash‑flow forecasting, track actual inflows and outflows against projections and flag potential liquidity risks.
• Ensure compliance with treasury policies, approval matrices and internal controls, maintain proper documentation and assist with audit and compliance reviews.
• Liaise with banks, external auditors and internal finance teams, providing treasury insights, reporting and contributing to process improvements.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.
• 2–5 years of experience in treasury or corporate finance, preferably within the hospitality industry.
