System Administrator – Application Production Support

About the role

Decskill is seeking a System Administrator to join its Application Production Support team. You will work on automating provisioning, configuration and deployments for legacy and cloud‑native applications while collaborating with a multicultural group of professionals across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform scripts for infrastructure automation.
• Containerise legacy applications and support Kubernetes deployments.
• Provide training and guidance to other operations staff on Ansible, Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Handle provisioning, configuration, deployment and disaster‑recovery activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT Operations or Software Engineering.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience with a public cloud provider (IBM Cloud, AWS or Azure).
• 2+ years of practical experience with Ansible and Docker.
• Relevant certifications such as RH294, CKAD, DO374; optional HashiCorp Terraform or Vault Associate.
• Professional proficiency in English.

• Linux platform and command‑line expertise.
• Scripting in Python and/or Bash.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools: Ansible, Terraform.
• Container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes.
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Travis, Concourse.
• Public cloud platforms: IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure.
