Solution Architect – Energy Sector

About the role

Devoteam is seeking a Solution Architect for the Energy sector in Lisbon. The role involves analysing functional requirements, shaping reference architecture, and guiding development teams to deliver robust, compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse functional requirements and assess their impact on the reference architecture.
• Monitor products and applications to ensure alignment with architectural standards.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and team knowledge-sharing meetings.
• Develop solution designs from an architectural perspective and propose changes when needed.
• Document application architecture, integration processes and logical designs for stakeholders.
• Map functional requirements to technical specifications to support development teams.
• Identify the need for new applications or micro‑services and design/specify APIs.

Required profile

• Up to 15 years of experience in software or computer engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Portuguese (Spanish valued).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on quality deliverables.
• Experience in strategic projects within the Energy & Utilities market and knowledge of GDPR.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and collaborative work in global teams.
