Senior Java Developer – Backend Services

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to design, implement, and maintain robust Java backend services. You will join a multidisciplinary team of cloud experts, designers, and engineers working across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Java backend services.
• Apply object‑oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
• Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Write unit and integration tests, following TDD and Shift‑Left practices.
• Integrate with Kafka and GraphQL Federation services.
• Deploy and manage applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Work with Azure Cloud services for scalable deployments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, providing technical guidance and problem‑solving solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, and software architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform, unit testing, integration testing, and TDD.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience integrating Kafka and Kubernetes in production.
• Familiarity with GraphQL Federation and Azure Cloud services.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities.
