Sanctions and Embargoes B2 Officer – French Speaker

About the role

The Sanctions and Embargoes B2 Officer is responsible for independently reviewing sanctions alerts escalated from Level A and investigated by Level B1. The role requires timely, autonomous analysis of alerts, decision‑making on release, rejection or further escalation, and clear communication with internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse sanctions alerts promptly, respecting priority, cut‑off times and service level agreements.
• Process alerts in line with BNP Paribas procedures, financial security policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Stay updated on sanctions, embargoes, KYC, AML, CFT regulations and share knowledge with on‑shore compliance teams.
• Identify information gaps, propose solutions and promote consistency in daily tasks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of B2 processes and tools by flagging inefficiencies.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• Up to 2 years of experience in banking, financial operations, audit, compliance or a related field.
• Advanced written and spoken English and French.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability and sound decision‑making.
• Team‑oriented mindset.
