R2R Specialist – Fixed‑term (1 year)

About the role

Join Grünenthal’s Corporate Functions team as an R2R Specialist on a one‑year fixed‑term contract. You will work closely with business partners across several countries to ensure accurate and timely financial closing, reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Examine closing entries and items and act as the main counterpart for business partners in defined entities.
• Ensure monthly, quarterly and year‑end closing activities are completed on global deadlines and support group reporting.
• Handle special issues in general‑ledger accounting, produce ad‑hoc reports and manage fixed‑asset accounting.
• Perform intercompany, balance‑sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Review journal entries and reports to guarantee compliance with external reporting and tax requirements.
• Serve as the single point of contact for local auditors and internal control activities.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement and own data‑transfer‑processes (DTPs).
• Meet service‑level agreements and performance targets for R2R processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong accounting background with general‑ledger knowledge.
• 1‑2 years of SAP experience; Smart‑Close experience is a plus.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Analytical mindset, high motivation, flexibility and strong communication skills.
• English proficiency; additional European language skills are beneficial.
