About the role
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Quality Engineer to join our Operations Team in Porto. The role blends hands‑on technical work with quality‑assurance responsibilities across manufacturing, assembly, integration and field operations in the wind energy sector.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain quality control processes and procedures.
- Perform inspections, testing and validation of systems during manufacturing, assembly and integration phases.
- Manage nonconformities, identify root causes and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with Operations and Installation teams to ensure quality standards during on‑site integration, including international wind farms.
- Monitor and report key quality metrics and performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and applicable industry requirements.
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to improve product reliability and performance.
- Maintain clear documentation of inspections, tests and quality reports.
- Support supplier and component quality evaluation when required.
- Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives across company workflows.
- Support ISO audits and certification processes.
Required profile
- Degree or technical background in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality control, testing or manufacturing environments.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, including root‑cause and failure analysis.
- Hands‑on experience with inspection and testing methodologies.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
- Proactive, responsible and ownership‑driven attitude.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English.
- Valid EU work permit and availability for occasional field work and international travel.
- Knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 14001) and certification processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience in the wind energy sector is a strong plus.
