Quality Control Technician Internship

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Quality Control Technician Intern to support our laboratory operations in Cantanhede. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, gaining hands‑on experience with state‑of‑the‑art analytical instrumentation and contributing to reliable data for R&D and production.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in routine chromatography analyses, including Gas Chromatography (GC) and High‑Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
• Perform classical chemistry methods such as titrations and spectrophotometric analyses.
• Prepare samples, reagents, and analytical standards.
• Support daily maintenance, verification, and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Document analytical results accurately and aid in data analysis.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of analytical data.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a MSc in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Theoretical knowledge or academic laboratory experience with chromatographic techniques and wet chemistry.
• Familiarity with chromatography data systems (e.g., Chromeleon) is a plus.
• Independent, structured, proactive work style with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
