Python Developer / Data Engineer (Financial Services)

About the role

Act Digital is seeking a Python Developer / Data Engineer to join its IT team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines that support analytics and regulatory use cases within a financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines and processing workflows using Python and SQL.
• Implement data ingestion, transformation, cleaning and quality controls on large‑scale platforms such as PySpark, Hive and Hadoop.
• Build and maintain solutions on Dataiku DSS or comparable data science platforms.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, data models and documentation.
• Participate in workshops, define functional and technical requirements, and map data structures and business rules.
• Develop, test and deploy data solutions with unit testing and validation.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to deliver data‑driven solutions and support validation phases.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data architecture and processes.

• Good communication skills with both technical and business audiences.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
