Python Backend Developer

About the role

Join Devoteam's multidisciplinary team to design and develop backend services and APIs using Python, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability. You will work on RESTful API architecture, database design, and collaborate across product managers and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and APIs using Python, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs that meet business requirements and technical specifications.
• Develop and optimise database schemas, queries, and data models for SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
• Write clean, well-documented code following coding standards and design patterns.
• Conduct code reviews, collaborate with team members, and maintain code quality.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in production and development environments.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis to deployment and monitoring.
• Implement automated testing strategies and maintain comprehensive test coverage.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
