Python Backend Developer

About the role

Join Devoteam’s multidisciplinary team to design, build, and maintain high‑performance backend services using Python. You will work on scalable APIs that power digital transformation projects for leading organisations across EMEA.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and RESTful APIs with Python.
• Architect, implement, and optimise database schemas for SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) stores.
• Write clean, well‑documented code following coding standards and design patterns.
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure high code quality.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis to deployment and monitoring.
• Implement automated testing and maintain comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional backend development experience with Python.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with Django, Flask or FastAPI.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
