Production Manager

About the role

As a Production Manager at Haworth Portugal you will lead the local production team, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost performance align with corporate objectives. You will drive continuous‑improvement projects and shape the plant’s operations for the future.

Key responsibilities

• Implement work policies that maximise agility, flexibility and efficiency while maintaining quality, safety and integrity.
• Identify, plan and deploy projects supporting the local manufacturing strategy.
• Collaborate with management on the preparation of local investment plans.
• Oversee continuous‑improvement activities in line with HMS policies and targets.
• Develop a strong health‑and‑safety culture through risk identification and mitigation.
• Develop and engage the production team to ensure high member commitment.
• Resolve daily operational issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage raw‑materials warehouse and material flow to ensure reliable inventory.

Required profile

• Industrial Engineering or similar degree with a manufacturing focus (preferred).
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a results‑driven approach.
• Minimum five years of manufacturing experience, including at least three years in production management.
• Full working knowledge of Lean concepts and proven success in continuous‑improvement projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably MS Dynamics or SAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
