Ocean Logistics Operations Specialist

About the role

The Ocean Logistics Operations Specialist ensures seamless execution of ocean transport activities for Nestlé Business Solutions. You will supervise shipment operations, optimise shipment management systems and collaborate with markets, suppliers, carriers and Global Logistics Procurement to meet Nestlé’s service expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and improve the transport monitoring (Track & Trace) process for ocean shipments.
• Coordinate loading dates with the export team and track containers from loading point through port of loading (POL).
• Monitor shipments during ocean transit, identify deviations, update ETAs and notify markets when required.
• Handle arrival notices, manage empty container returns and change‑of‑destination (COD) requests.
• Maintain reliable data in the Ocean Platform and Dashboard, ensuring compliance with SLAs.
• Conduct health checks, support operational activities and contribute to continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Technical university degree.
• Approximately 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or shipping lines (import/export operations).
• Strong customer‑service orientation and knowledge of physical logistics.
• Advanced English; Spanish is a plus.

Required skills

• Microsoft 365 (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint).
• Project management experience within supply chain.
