Manager, Product Architect

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Manager, Product Architect to lead early‑stage innovation in authentication services. In this highly technical individual‑contributor role you will turn emerging technologies and bold ideas into validated product concepts, proof‑of‑concepts and protected intellectual property that shape Mastercard’s authentication strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Support technical product ideas from ideation through discovery, feasibility assessment and validation.
• Develop research proposals, technical designs and experimental approaches for new authentication concepts.
• Design and build proof‑of‑concepts to evaluate functionality, scalability, security and performance.
• Monitor industry, technology and regulatory trends affecting digital identity and authentication.
• Translate external insights into actionable recommendations for Mastercard’s roadmap.
• Define high‑level architectures for new authentication products and ensure alignment with Mastercard’s architecture principles and security frameworks.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies and design trade‑offs early in the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Legal and IP teams to explore and protect patentable innovations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in product innovation, architecture or applied research within the authentication or digital identity space.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to assess feasibility and technical risk.
• Excellent communication skills to act as a trusted technical advisor to delivery teams.
• Understanding of security, regulatory and compliance requirements for financial services.
