Maintenance Technician

About the role

Join ZF LIFETEC’s Safe‑Life plant in Ponte de Lima as a Maintenance Technician. You will support the production of airbag generators in a highly automated environment, ensuring continuous operation and safety of the lines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support to the manufacturing team on airbag generator production lines.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents, performing corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Adjust and parameterise control devices, including PLCs, HMIs and drives.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for process reliability and quality.
• Collaborate with a young, dynamic team to meet production objectives.

Required profile

• Technical background in mechatronics or a related field.
• Experience maintaining highly automated production lines.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented attitude with strong teamwork spirit.
• Interest in automotive safety component manufacturing.
• Basic English knowledge is a plus.

• PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• HMI configuration.
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) handling.
• Vision system integration.
