Key Account Manager – Portugal (Home Based)

About the role

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for driving the growth of our client’s premium food brands across Portugal’s major retail chains. Based remotely, you will report to the Iberia Country Manager and act as the primary link between the company, local distributors and key accounts such as Pingo Doce, Sonae and Auchan PT.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute account plans for top‑tier retailers to increase sales and market share.
• Maintain strong relationships with the local distributor and act as the company’s eyes on the market.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities across categories, consumer segments and distribution channels.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and provide actionable insights to the commercial team.
• Collaborate with internal functions such as marketing, supply chain and finance to ensure seamless execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in FMCG, preferably in packaged food, managing key accounts.
• Demonstrated ability to work with both the supplier and retailer sides of the business.
• Strong commercial acumen and a results‑driven mindset.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Residence in Greater Lisbon or willingness to relocate.
