Junior P&L Controller – Finance & Market Analytics

About the role

We are looking for a Junior P&L Controller to join our Finance & Market Analytics team in Lisbon. You will work in the Middle Office, ensuring accurate profit and loss reporting and supporting both Front Office and Back Office stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Perform reconciliation of P&L data between Front Office and Back Office systems.
• Analyse P&L breaks, identify root causes and improve related processes and controls.
• Produce, validate and explain official Economic P&L figures, including market movements and new deals.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between Economic P&L, Front Office forecasts and risk‑based market P&L.
• Review and correct inaccurate P&L allocation effects when no technical fix is available.
• Analyse and validate the split of Economic P&L between liquidity and rate effects for ALMT perimeters.
• Produce and monitor hedge accounting controls for Finance and Front Office where applicable.
• Act as a key contact for stakeholders, providing clear and timely support on P&L‑related queries.
• Submit finalized P&L reports for Front Office sign‑off and continuously improve reporting methodologies.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in accounting, finance or financial markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Fluent English (professional proficiency).
