Java Developer – French Speaker (Hybrid, Porto)

About the role

We are seeking a Java Developer who is fluent in French to join our investment banking and financial services project based in Porto. The position is hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely while contributing to innovative solutions that support core business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications (Java 1.8) for financial services.
• Implement backend components using Spring Boot, Spring Core and Hibernate.
• Write and optimise SQL queries and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate on performance and scalability design for high‑volume solutions.
• Participate in DevOps practices to streamline deployment and monitoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Java developer.
• Fluent in French and proficient in English.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
