Head of Finance – Portugal

About the role

Glovo is seeking a Head of Finance for its Portuguese market, one of its largest and most strategic territories. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will own the full P&L, drive financial performance, and act as the primary financial advisor for the country.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Finance team covering FP&A, Controlling, Tax, Treasury and finance operations.
• Own annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and monthly performance reviews.
• Provide strategic guidance on investment decisions, business model evolution and cost optimisation.
• Develop business cases, scenario analyses and predictive models to support expansion and commercial strategy.
• Ensure compliance, early risk detection and alignment with HQ finance, strategy and data teams.
• Oversee treasury, accounting, financial statements and relationships with auditors and external consultants.
• Represent Portugal in international forums and contribute to Glovo’s global finance playbook.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in technical finance functions such as Accounting, Tax, Treasury and Planning.
• Proven track record in a senior finance leadership or strategic partner role.
• Ability to maintain a 360° view of finance and influence C‑level discussions.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on value‑generating initiatives.
