Financial Control Team Leader (French Speaker)

About the role

Natixis is seeking a Financial Control Team Leader to join its Financial Permanent Control (FPC) team in Lisbon. The role operates as a second line of defense, ensuring the consistency, reliability, and quality of financial data across the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Lead quarterly closing monitoring controls and ad‑hoc assignments covering finance, regulatory and prudential information.
• Develop and implement automation solutions to improve the control framework.
• Coordinate team activities, monitor performance, propose corrective actions and report results to management.
• Motivate, coach and evaluate team members; manage performance, talent development and day‑to‑day HR matters.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding and internal mobility for the area.
• Maintain regular interaction in French with Paris colleagues and travel to Paris for training and meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial control or second‑line‑of‑defense functions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team.
• Fluent French for frequent communication with Paris teams.
• Willingness to travel to Paris as needed.
