Billing & Claims Assistant (French Speaker)

About the role

WTW is looking for a Billing & Claims Assistant who is fluent in French to join its Regional Delivery Center in Lisbon. You will support the processing of premiums, fees and commissions between clients and insurance carriers, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.

Key responsibilities

• Process premiums received from clients and remit them to the appropriate carriers.
• Reconcile carrier statements, investigate discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
• Manage receipt and application of premiums, fees and commissions according to established procedures.
• Review ledgers to identify amounts payable to carriers, clients, sub‑brokers and other parties.
• Prepare payment support documentation and ensure correct allocation of funds.
• Liaise with client managers and carriers to resolve payment issues and reconciliation differences.
• Monitor open ledger items, perform adjustments, write‑offs and offsets in line with accounting policies.
• Clear uncashed or uncleared cheques in a timely manner and respond to queries or correction requests.
• Follow standard operating procedures and comply with statutory and regulatory obligations.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations in coordination with global offices.

Required profile

• Fluent in French (spoken and written).
