Bilingual Accountant (French & English) – Full Responsibility for France

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual Accountant fluent in French and English to take full ownership of accounting activities for our French entities while supporting operations in Portugal. The role involves managing the complete accounting cycle, ensuring compliance with international standards, and collaborating with cross‑border teams.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain all financial transactions, including AP, AR and general ledger entries.
• Prepare, review and reconcile profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing processes in line with IFRS and GAAP.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure statutory reporting compliance.
• Process invoices, payments, employee expense reports and monitor collections.
• Prepare VAT, corporate and payroll tax filings and ensure adherence to local regulations.
• Assist in annual budgeting, financial forecasting and variance analysis.
• Perform cost analyses to support strategic decision‑making.
• Support implementation and improvement of accounting systems, automating reporting and reconciliation where possible.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented accounting professional with at least 3 years of end‑to‑end accounting experience.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, international environment.
• Excellent communication in both French and English.
• Experience in CRO, pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors is a plus.
