Accountant – Operational Finance & Stock Control (Porto)

About the role

This position provides hands‑on operational accounting support for Rayner Biomaterials and selected finance processes for Rayner Surgical SL. Based in our Iberia regional office in Porto, you will work closely with operations, warehousing and the local finance team to ensure accurate month‑end closes and strong financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, reconciliations and payment runs.
• Maintain daily cash‑book activities and perform timely bank reconciliations.
• Oversee and reconcile stock movements in ERP/WMS systems, ensuring inventory accuracy.
• Prepare and post monthly journals, accruals, pre‑payments and support COGS calculations.
• Support month‑end close by providing complete transactional data and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Provide documentation and schedules for internal reviews and audits.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies and statutory requirements.
• Contribute to finance system optimisation and continuous process improvement.
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain and shared services, including regular travel to Rayner Biomaterials.

Required profile

• Newly qualified accountant or final‑stage ACA/ACCA/CIMA candidate.
• Minimum 2 years of management accounts experience.
• Fluent Portuguese and business‑level English (B2).
• Strong attention to detail, self‑starter attitude and ability to work within a team.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar).
• Knowledge of IFRS reporting (desirable).
