QA Automation Engineer (French Speaker)

About the role

Aubay Portugal is seeking a senior QA Automation Engineer who is fluent in French to join its technology consultancy team. You will work on functional test automation for web applications, collaborating with cross‑functional Agile squads.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry‑standard tools.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to define test strategies.
• Track defects and test results using Jira, XRay or TestRail.
• Continuously improve test frameworks and ensure high test coverage.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of proven functional test‑automation experience.
• Strong command of French (minimum B2 level).
• Portuguese citizenship or a valid work permit for Portugal.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail and good communication skills.

Required skills

• JavaScript scripting for test automation.
• Familiarity with modern web automation technologies.
• Test‑management tools: Jira, XRay, TestRail.
• CI/CD tools: Git, GitLab CI, Jenkins.
• Understanding of web application architecture and software testing fundamentals (ISTQB certification is a plus).
