Operations Director

About the role

The Operations Director for the Porto site will lead a team of around 180 staff, overseeing manufacturing, materials management and field services. This senior role translates global operational strategy into site‑level execution, ensuring high‑quality product delivery, digital efficiency and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive operational strategy aligned with global and local objectives.
• Lead manufacturing operations, driving Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Agile initiatives to improve productivity, quality and cost efficiency.
• Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Oversee production planning, scheduling, capacity utilization and new‑product introductions.
• Champion safety, HSEQ compliance and sustainability goals such as Net‑Zero emissions and energy‑efficient Smart Manufacturing.
• Partner with supply‑chain and procurement leaders to optimise procurement, inventory, warehousing and logistics.
• Collaborate with order management, commercial and product teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Support digital transformation and technology integration across the site.
