Finance Controller (Portugal & Spain)

About the role

Manitowoc is seeking a Finance Controller to lead controlling, finance, tax and compliance activities for its entities in Portugal and Spain. Based at the Baltar facility, you will act as a strategic business partner, providing insights that drive performance and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop budgets, forecasts and financial models; analyse performance and deliver strategic insights.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and monitor internal controls for SOX compliance and manage financial risk.
• Lead cost‑control initiatives, improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Oversee cash‑flow and treasury forecasting, manage banking relationships, and analyse AP/AR.
• Coordinate internal audits and ensure timely resolution of findings.
• Support senior management with scenario planning and strategic initiatives.
• Supervise non‑local tax returns, transfer‑pricing documentation and tax compliance.
• Develop and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative environment.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in controlling and finance.
• Degree in Economics, Management or related field.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and conflict‑resolution skills.
• High integrity, resilience and deadline‑driven attitude.
