AML L2 Officer – French Speaker

About the role

The AML L2 Officer conducts in‑depth investigations of alerts escalated from AML L1, deciding whether to close cases or forward them to AML L3 for potential Suspicious Activity Reporting. This role requires strong analytical judgment and fluency in both English and French.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritise and investigate AML alerts efficiently, collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather all relevant information.
• Perform desktop research covering KYC data, payment details, account activity, counterpart business information, ownership structures, and payment vehicles.
• Draft clear, concise investigation reports that explain risk assessments, conclusions, and supporting evidence.
• Stay informed on global and local regulatory developments to assess a wide range of financial crime risks.
• Participate in team discussions and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and tools.

Required profile

• High school education.
• Up to 2 years of experience in risk, compliance, audit or a related field.
• Advanced written and spoken English and French.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and sound decision‑making.
• Team‑oriented mindset.
