Regulatory Counsel (Payments)

About the role

Revolut is seeking a Regulatory Counsel to support its fast‑growing payments and banking products. You will work closely with product, compliance and engineering teams to ensure new features are launched in line with European financial regulations while maintaining the company’s rapid pace of innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on the structuring of new and existing payment and banking products.
• Draft customer‑facing legal documents and terms for these products.
• Manage regulatory expectations, applications and ongoing compliance requirements.
• Engage with European and local regulators to obtain approvals and address queries.
• Lead complex legal matters with tight turnaround times, balancing execution and strategic leadership.

Required profile

• 6+ years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in a law firm or in‑house legal team.
• Strong academic background and proven credentials in financial law.
• Demonstrated experience advising on European financial regulations, especially PSD2 and CRD.
• Excellent judgment, composure under pressure and a collaborative mindset.
• Fluent English communication skills.
