Senior Internal Auditor – Europe (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to lead financial and operational audits across our European locations. The role is hybrid, requiring at least three days on‑site each week and extensive travel (about 75% of the first year) to build strong stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from risk assessment and planning through fieldwork and reporting.
• Review and re‑perform SOX internal control testing, evaluating design adequacy and operational effectiveness.
• Assess the impact of business‑process changes and emerging risks on the control environment.
• Utilise data‑analytics techniques as part of the Internal Audit Data Analytics Program.
• Partner with business units to support continuous‑improvement initiatives aligned with the audit plan.
• Stay current with audit standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance frameworks.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of audit experience (internal or external).
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk assessment, and audit methodologies.
• Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and building effective working relationships.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP is beneficial.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
