Procurement Project Manager

About the role

The Procurement Project Manager will act as the bridge between Programme, Engineering and Change Boards, supporting the industrialisation of Airbus Aerostructures components at supplier sites (G0‑G3). The role is newly created, requiring the establishment of networks and processes to ensure smooth hand‑over of design changes to the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in early‑stage design changes, handling Change Requests, Proposals and Orders from a procurement perspective.
• Represent procurement interests on Change and Make‑Or‑Buy Boards.
• Evaluate design changes, estimating effort, non‑recurring and recurring costs, lead time and feasibility.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Cost Engineers, Strategic Procurement, Production, Supply Chain Quality and other specialist departments.
• Validate data completeness, check PRE‑POST relations and critical supplier allocations.
• Prepare and lead the hand‑over of comprehensive data packages to Transfer Managers.
• Support the creation of databases, checklists and processes required for the new plant.
• Organise and manage Steering Groups and Decision Meetings.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Logistics/Supply Chain, Business Informatics or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, operations or project management.
• Strong customer orientation, effective communication and assertiveness.
• Analytical and solution‑oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
• Fluent English (written & spoken); German is a plus.
• Commitment to compliance and integrity.
