Financial Planner

About the role

Popular is seeking an on‑site Financial Planner to work directly with clients in San Juan. You will use a holistic financial planning methodology to identify risks, uncover opportunities, and design strategies that help clients achieve their personal and financial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with clients to assess their financial situation, life‑cycle stage, and objectives.
• Develop tailored financial plans that incorporate investments, insurance, taxes, trusts, retirement, and succession strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the bank and other Popular companies to deliver integrated advice.
• Strengthen client relationships, promote relevant products and services, and contribute to profitability.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of banking products, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, or Law.
• Minimum two years of experience with financial products, insurance, business development, or related regulatory environments.
• Preferred certifications such as CFP, MBA, CPA, JD, or other relevant designations.
• Strong client‑service orientation, analytical reasoning, and ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
