About the role
The Finance Manager will lead financial analysis, reporting, and collection activities for Chubb's Central America and reinsurance operations. This role ensures accurate financial statements, compliance with GAAP and statutory accounting, and provides insights for strategic planning.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze financial information and results to support decision‑making processes.
- Review collections from direct, assumed, and ceded accounts and conduct monthly collection meetings.
- Review and analyze material paid claims and reserves, ensuring accuracy of ceded balances each month.
- Document financial result variances for Central America businesses and provide strategic insights.
- Prepare and analyze monthly reporting packages, including year‑to‑date business results, accounts receivable status, and solicitation cost evaluation.
- Monitor financial policies and procedures to ensure GAAP and statutory accounting compliance.
- Prepare financial statements and annual reinsurance schedules and notes.
- Coordinate with auditors, delivering required documentation within deadlines.
- Supervise finance professionals across Collections, Central America, and Reinsurance units.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
- CPA and/or MBA highly desirable.
- Five or more years of relevant professional experience.
- At least two years of supervisory experience.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑moving environment.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish.
